Sitting next to a learner as the "qualified responsible driver" can be a very daunting experience.

Firstly, it is important to ensure that your "supervisor" meets the legal requirements as does your vehicle.

*  Be over 21 years of age
*  Held a full UK driving liscence for a minimum of 3 years
*  The vehicle must be isured for the learner
*  L plates must be displayed in a suitable and clearly visible to other road users

As a "supervisor" it is important to remember that you are in charge and not just a passenger, you must take responsibility for you and your learner, it is important to plan your route ahead, anticipate any potential problems which may lie ahead and not pass on any bad habits!

Learning to drive should be fun as well as informative and character building for both you and your learner.
